Before I start, I'm not posting to actually be recruit. I rule my own guild on Mug'thol from a short time now and i wanna see how you guys do your recrutement to help me in mine. So if you don't want to help me, just delete this thread , but if you want to help me just consider it like a real apply.

P.S. I'm a French Canadian so my grammar will probably be bad, please be patient

My rogue name is Mallycia and mine is Nicolas (ok you can now play a new game name "How do you prononce a French Canadian name ?") you can call me Nick for your purpose.

Class -
My class is a Rogue and is a rogue since a couple of months. I have like 45 days of played time on my rogue. I was playing a paladin name Melfear since Vanilla.

Age -
I'm 27 since June and I think I'll keep it since the next june month.

Primary spec you are applying to raid as -
I apply as Combat.

Secondary spec(s) that is/are raid ready -
I'm corrently gathering a Mutilate spec to use to one who serve me the most at a given time. The spec is ready but the gear as Mutilate are far different than Combat with a gemming choice that change too.

Location -
I live in Quebec City (Québec in french (A new name for your game "Name a Canadian city?")).

Server -
I play on Mug'thol and have played there since Vanilla.

If you're not currently on Maelstrom, how did you find us? -
I find you with your tools that parse WoL to anylize different spec and the possible DPS that can come out of. I really enjoy it and help me comparing me and my raiders with the rest of the elite players.

Professions (why these professions?) -
I'm JC and Engeneer. Both because as a Combat rogue they give me the best increase in DPS if I use all the engeneer CD.

What is your general availability? -
With my son's birth 3 months ago, I only log on for the raid and disapear the rest of the weeks.

Why are you applying to Kamigami? -
If you read the post through here you already know why.

Can you name any members of Kamigami that can vouch for your abilities as a player and as a person? -
I can't because I'm not from your server.

What are your previous guilds (on this character or other previous mains), on and off Maelstrom, and why did you leave them? -
Kébek and Ascendance was my last 2 guilds. I left because they was not willing to raid 25 man and they were like "Do it yourself if you want" I did and when I came back with recommandation to increase the raid DPS with better optimization with spec and basic things like gem/enchant/consumable, all I got is people laughting at me.

What notable hard modes or achievements have you earned? (Please be specific about character and role if achievements were not earned on the character in this app) -
Easy one .... let me think .... none.

What do you do to get better? What was the last thing you learned that made you better? -
I seek information all the days around on the web/forum. I do things like I'm doing now. And when i finally log on I practice all the information i've gotten.

Do you have any other random skills you might bring to the guild? (raid/class leadership, strat writing, AH gaming, video editing, addon development, web authoring, a great singing voice, etc) -
I'm actually a leader for sure ... I don't know why but people like to follow me. I think it's due to my partiality and cummon sense with a pinch of my dictator like autority. I love all the class mechanic and optimization discusion. I love teaching my knowledge with others and i really love creating new boss strat depending on my raiders weakness and stength.

Describe your playstyle/rotation. Specifically, describe what makes you exceptional at your role, -
I'm a trigger happy DPS that hopefully have Tricks of the Trade and Vanish . My knowledge and how I use it made me exceptional. My rotation as a Combat Rogue are little complicated but i will try to sumarize for you.
My combo builder is Sinister Strike (SS).
My finisher is Slice and Dice(SnD) and Eviscerate(Ev).
I use SS at 60 energie and pool to 60 before using it again, I keep SnD up but need to refresh it at how ever combo point but at 0 sec left on my actual buff. I need 4 sec if at near 0 energie and 0 combo point to be able to normaly refresh my slice so I'm trying to never Ev in that window. Other time I Ev at 5 combo point only. I use my CD at CD ... the more time they are up unuse the more DPS I lost. To get start on pull, I TotT the tank, I use SS, SnD, SS, SS and then my energie is normally enough low to start using Engeneer glove/Bladde Flurry/Killing Spree and when KS wear off Adrenaline rush/ engeneer bomb and 4 sec later my trinket is ready to be use. Always keeping my Energie between 60-80 and burning its down before KS and Adrenaline Rush use.

On certain fight like Marrow I use my defensive CD to increase my DPS uptime like Evasion on Blade Storm and Cloak of LOL for the blue fire ... etc, etc.

What stats do you prioritize on gear? Why? -
Aror Penenatration as a Combat Rogue is the only stat that scale up when you stack it. All other stat lose in strength when you stack them.

Describe your favorite raiding moment/experience you have had: -
Zul'Aman raid without DBM (patch day) and with me leading and calling out abilities with my rotation base timer (I used then a at each time I use that ability it's make like 10 sec so in 4 of this ability X things will occurs). We finished it and we were really happy to raid without addon. The other cool things was a 10 pally Kz . We managed to finish it hehe.

What other consumables do you use to maximize your effectiveness? -
Flask
ArPen food
Engeneer Bombs
Thistle Tea
Potion of Speed
Scroll / Drum of missing buff

I can't here but I use the Razer Naga mouse with the addon for the bar. And i use xPearl with a full 40 raid member layout (was healer back then and I found it usefull now as a DPS to see what happen to my raid). DBM, Recount, Omen at left to complete my interface ... nothing special about it.

What do you think you would bring to the guild? -
A experienced player with a fair amount of class knowledge and the bad habit of optimization.

We're a pretty small, tight-knit group that's looking for more like-minded folks. We're not looking for folks who show up to raids, we're looking for new friends who are great raiders.
The only thing I can add to boost my apply is that I'm around 350 pounds ... no actually that is not helping ... damn. Seriously, I like to joke around and have fun with others but i'm kindda really too serious in raid . I love the most fabulous sport on the earth ... I name : The Hockey ... Ha that Canadian ... I like joking about myself. The rest have been mentionned up there.

Well first off, here is a comparison of you vs. some of our other Combat rogues: http://www.stratfu.com/kamigami/compare ... 000#damage

Keep in mind it is comparing a normal mode fight to a heroic mode, although the difference in damage is significant. If this were a real app I would be denying it right away because we already have 4 rogues and your dps is not enough that you would be competitive with them.

The bad: No hard mode experience, no UI screenshot, very low gear for the content we're working on.

The good: A good personality, previous leader, authenticator, class knowledge.

If you're looking for a better indicator of how our recruitment process actually works, it might be better to check out some previous apps. I can't seriously consider you for a raiding position right now due to your gear and experience, and lack of a reference from the guild to back you up.

Wow thanks for your times ... I actually almost finish to read the 10 last apply hehe. I have check your compared tools and really like it .... and when I armoried the 2 rogues you linked me I saw why we had so a huge difference ... I'm kindda jaleous. And yes by my read of the past few post I saw that your critera for gears was much higher than my gear.

I got the feeling I want ... being told clearly whats wrong ... and like it ... so it make me think that I will wear off my white gloves on my recrutment reply too .

I will stick around and keep using your tools 'cause I really love it.

Well, Wobby hit all the main points, but as a rogue, I feel obliged to try to add something. Getting your hands on two pieces of t10 will give you that amazing bonus to tricks of the trade. Other than that, I see you are above the expertise cap. I'd say drop your boots for Frostbitten Fur Boots first chance you get, though I myself am also waiting around for those to drop.

One thing to note is that smiley faces and ellipses (...) generally don't make for good reading for the people reviewing your application. In this instance, only use smilies where you need to clarify tone or show that something is a joke. Ellipses should probably not be used on an application.

This said, you're putting out good numbers for your gear level. 13k on Saurfang with only one heroic piece is nothing to shake a stick at. Best of luck in your raiding on Mug'thol.

hehe Avanas your right that ellipse is not really easy to read .. and for my smillies, its more like a bad chat habbit .... we can damn MSN <-- oh one more times ... (again) <-- oups <-- wow this is not stopping ... hehe

Seriously thanks for your comments and yes I had a great deal replacing my boots, my hit trinket, my bracers and getting my t10 264 token to finally get my 2T10 bonus which is in 251 without the token in equal strenght with my actual gear. Plus, it make me be more lazy on TotT ... hehe.
